What types of walls do you restore or rebuild?

We build and repair various types of walls. From stone walls on houses to garden and boundary walls and dry stone walls. We work with any type of stone wall in and around Bath and surrounding villages.

Do you work with both historic and modern stonework?

Yes, we are happy and comfortable working with any types of stone. Sometime, walls require both - for example in creating a retaining wall, both new and old stones are required.

Can you repair only a section of a wall, or do you need to rebuild the whole thing?

Yes, we can repair a section of wall with your existing stone, or find matching stone should it be required.

Can you match the style and materials of the existing wall?

Yes, we are able to match stones for any wall or building. We work hard to ensure the old and new sections are seamless.

Do you use traditional methods (like dry stone techniques) or modern mortars?

We’re comfortable using both to build and repair stone walls.

Do you provide free estimates or site visits?

What causes stone walls to collapse or deteriorate?

Mostly wear and tear from weather, but also trees and vegetation can cause damage.
